Brandon Green was born in Rock Springs, WY. He moved to Iowa when he was 12 and began noticing houses.

On weekends Brandon’s family would go for long drives in the countryside. He would gaze out the car window and dream of restoring the dilapidated farmhouses. He loved their character and imagined how beautiful they must have been when they were new.

While that story is true, what led Brandon to turn his interest into a career was…a Carlton Sheets infomercial. You know, the ones that air late-night on high-numbered cable channels that show people sipping daiquiris on the beach talking about how they made $20,000 that month.

Brandon had just started an unsatisfying job and the possibility of combining his passions of helping people and real estate (and making a good living while doing so) appealed to him. So he sent in his $19.95 and bought the video.

Being a real estate agent was a little harder than Carlton depicted in the video, but Brandon has no regrets—he loves helping people find their dream houses and can’t imagine doing anything else.

After returning from a world tour with the musical organization Up With People, in the late 1990s, Brandon fulfilled his early vision and bought a grand but neglected Victorian townhouse in Capitol Hill. It was a mess. Brandon, however, had a plan for this home, so he redesigned the interior and coordinated the renovation. He managed

  • carpenters
  • painters
  • masons
  • plumbers
  • electricians
  • flooring experts
  • landscape artists
  • suppliers

When the Capitol Hill townhouse was complete, Brandon looked for his next project. This time it was a huge five-bedroom federal home in Northwest DC. In this property, Brandon

  • renovated the kitchen
  • refurbished the wood floors
  • finished the basement, transforming it into a one-bedroom rental unit
  • landscaped the front and back yards, including walls and fences
  • removed several yards of paneling
  • repaired plaster
  • replaced all appliances and systems

Brandon loves this process and continues to find projects all around the United States and even in Argentina. His current project is Stoney Creek Farm—a bed and breakfast he co-owns in Washington County, Maryland.

This interest is what makes Brandon such a great broker—he loves helping people buy, fix, and sell their houses. And he’s good at it!

Brandon’s expertise and sense of service are grounded in a deep appreciation of real estate. And as he’s been through it all himself—several times—he knows how to help you.
